About this course
The Aviation Security Manager course equips learners with the managerial and technical knowledge required to oversee an effective aviation security programme. It covers the regulatory framework underpinning civil aviation security, including ICAO Annex 17, the National Civil Aviation Security Programme, and relevant SACAA requirements, and shows how these translate into day to day operational responsibilities.
Learners work through the core functions of an AVSEC Manager, including threat and risk assessment, quality control and audit processes, incident and contingency management, and the supervision and development of security personnel. Practical scenarios and case studies are used throughout to link regulatory theory to real operational decisions.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to interpret and apply national and international AVSEC requirements, support the implementation of a security management system, and contribute to maintaining a high standard of aviation security within their organisation.
